Indian Ladder Farms is a 325-acre working farm and agritourism destination located in Altamont NY. The farm grows apples, berries, pumpkins and operates an extensive pick your own in the summer and fall as well as presses its own cider. A 19-acre compound on the farm is home to a diverse retail operation open to the public. The farm is home to a cidery and brewery manufacturing and serving hard cider and beer with ingredients grown on the farm. Indian Ladder has an extensive farm market featuring a gift shop, local foods grocery and online store. The farm has bakery featuring popular items such as cider doughnuts. Indian Ladder operates two (soon to be three) kitchens, conducting farm to table foodservice in the Farm Market’s Yellow Rock Café as well as the Indian Ladder Farms Cidery & Brewery’s Tasting Room and Biergarten as well as catering private events on the farm. New this year will be a wood-fired pizza oven serving pizza at a third location adjacent to the new brewery. The Farm hosts private events ranging from weddings to corporate retreats. Indian Ladder features a variety of annual special events such as Baby Animal Days, the Capital Region Renaissance Festival, and Farming Man Festival. In addition, the farm offers farm animal exhibits and operates an educational program for children hosting field trips and a summer program for kids called The Barn School. The Indian Ladder Farms team is highly diverse including farm, retail and cidery/brewery managers as well as agricultural workers, bakers bartenders, brewers, cider makers, cooks, counter staff, donut makers, educators, kitchen workers, office staff servers and retail support staff.
