Farm Manager Description

Indian Ladder Farms (ILF) is hiring a full time Farm Manager. ILF is a century old farm located in upstate New York, 15 miles west of Albany, New York.

Farm Manager duties include managing a small group of farm workers year-round to plant, grow, harvest, process and sell apples and some field crops. 

Duties include managing:

• Safety and quality control
• H2A workers and domestic farm workers
• Plant, grow, harvest, process and sell apples and some field crops. 
• Cider making
• Wholesaling of apples
• Pick your own
• Farm equipment and building maintenance
• Snow plowing
• Comply with federal and state standards for growing and processing food products 
• Farm related paperwork
• Budgeting
• Record keeping
• Weekly meetings on current work, projects and status.
