Field Trips and Tours

Every year Indian Ladder Farms opens our barn doors wide to welcome students, teachers and a variety of visiting groups! We are now scheduling field trips and farm tours for 2018 and invite you to come to the farm with your group.

Baby Farm Animal Tour April 11th- May 4th, 2018 (no tours on Mondays) Approximately 75-90 minutes. Every spring Indian Ladder Farms comes to life with sights, sounds, smells and touch. Come into our Baby Animal Barn where tour participants will see, pet and learn about chicks, turkey poults, ducklings, goslings, bunnies, lambs, goat kids, piglets, and calves.  Visit our new Goat Playground and learn about goat behavior while cheering on our lively goat kids as they romp and play with toys. In our Farm Animal Learning Center, visitors will  explore the interdependence between animals and people and learn about a range of farm animal products and their uses. Tour our outdoor farm animal exhibits of adult cows, pigs, goats, sheep and poultry to see what baby farm animals will look like when they are all grown up.  These limited spots fill up fast!

Participants of all ages will enjoy learning firsthand about the fascinating lives of honey bees and their important role in pollination on an apple orchard. Search for the queen bee in our observation hive. Watch the bees hard at work in the hive as while  learning about the jobs in a honeybee colony. Touch, taste, and smell the products from the hive – honey, beeswax, propolis and more. Learn about beekeeping. Tour includes a walk on the farm, see the animals and find bees at work.
